To create a better future, we must first imagine it. As we strive to overcome so many global challenges, creativity has never been more vital—to inspire, to unite, and to tell stories with art that can connect us all. Our creative endeavors make planetary health personal by speaking to hearts as well as minds. As a physician scientist and fellow artist, I applaud Ruth Westreich for her decades of commitment to whole person health, advocating for healthier environments and the importance of recognizing the inextricable interdependence between all these things. I also commend the work of The Westreich Foundation for their vision and leadership as we all begin to imagine what kind of world we want for our children.

The Alliance for Natural Health USA owes so much to Ruth and The Westreich Foundation. Not only has she provided financial support which has allowed us to further our mission of protecting access to natural health modalities but has helped us elevate our game by investing something even more valuable into our organization— herself. Ruth brings people together to enact positive social change. I believe it is the artist in her that gives her the ability to see how different pieces can be fit together to create something beautiful. Her ability to see the big picture has been a key factor in our growth as an organization. Ruth is a motivator, innovator and creator working for a better tomorrow. She is a bit of a hero to me and my world is better for having her in it.

The first time I saw the Westreich Foundation website, it felt a deep level of connection to the range of organizations and causes that were being supported. A new paradigm of medicine and agriculture are desperately needed, sharing some similar characteristics: systems thinking, root cause approach, ancient wisdom and community focused. Having spent time with Ruth over the last few years, it has become clear that she is a force for healthy social and societal change, and I am excited to be co-creative catalysts in this transformation.

Ruth Westreich is a unique force in the movement for integrative health and medicine. She engaged her philanthropy as an activist – and as an empath. What separated Ruth from the body of the philanthropic community is her investment in the professions that were historically dismissed by the dominant school of medicine – the diminished “have nots” in these historic power relationships. In the past years, as the cracks in our universe have increasingly become apparent, Ruth shared with me the stunning set of Conscious Conversations paintings. I am intrigued to see where this twining together of Ruth’s lives will take her – and us!

The Organic Consumers Association, the largest network of organic consumers in North America, salutes the educational work, activist networking, and the financial support that from Ruth Westreich and the Westreich Foundation. We especially appreciate Westreich’s invaluable efforts in connecting the dots between the solutions offered by organic and regenerative food and farming, natural health, ecosystem restoration to the evermore alarming climate, environmental, economic, public health and political crises that are pressing down upon us and threaten our very survival.

We at GMWatch, an organization that educates the public about ab-biotech and genetic engineering of our food supply and the value of sustainable agriculture, we have nothing but praise and admiration for Ruth and the Westreich Foundation. It’s not often you find an organization that is as committed to Mother Earth as the Westreich Foundation. My experience with Ruth and her passionate gang of influential crusaders has been wonderful.
